Hi, I'm John.
I've spent close to two decades working across libraries, classrooms, and international schools — from NASA Langley's technical library to an IB program in Kazakhstan — and the thread running through all of it is the same: helping people go from staring at a big, unclear task to actually finishing it.
I'm a certified teacher with a background in library science and journalism, which turns out to be a useful combination for this work: I know how to help a student track down and make sense of sources, and how to turn that research into clear, structured writing. Most students aren't struggling because they're lazy — they're struggling because no one ever explicitly taught them how to break a big task into steps, manage their time against a deadline, or know what "done" actually looks like.
That's what I focus on. Not just finishing this project, but building the skills so the next one is easier — and eventually, so you don't need me at all.
